July 28 Isafjordur, Iceland

Isafjordur is a small town of about 2000 residents in the north west part of Iceland. It is a fishing town in a very scenic location. We didn't have a tour booked here so spent the day walking around town and enjoying the beautiful weather.

Here are some pictures

The town of Isafjordur from the verandah of our stateroom.

A view of the Prinsendam. We went ashore on the tenders (lifeboats). You can see one on the left of the ship. They are quite spacious and can hold about 50 people quite comfortably.

This is a small park in Isafjordur. The arch is made of a whale jawbone.

Enjoying an Icelandic beer and the sunny weather in Isafjordur

That night we finally got to see a sunset after over a week of 24 hr daylight

There is something so satisfying about ending a day with a beautiful sunset - sort of like ending a sentence with a period!
